I have much on our Mum's, Maori lines,as we have the books here to read.
It is the Thom or Williams side I'm interested in right now.o.k.

He was shipped out in 1824 on a Convect ship for Aussie, with a sentience of 7 years and not to return home as the Death sentience awaited him.
He earn'nt his ticket of leave, but not before he lear'nt the trade of ship building.
He was given a ship called the "UNION" owned by businessmen Berry of Sydney, Australia.
He Traded goods between New Zealand. (N.Z.)and Australia in the early 1830/40's.
Known as the Flax and Musket Trade.
He met and married his Maori Wife in a small West Coast Trading Settlement of Kawhia.
(The only place where the Waka Tainui now sleeps, which came to N.Z.around 1250).
He and his Maori wife had their 1st born and only N.Z. born child in Onehunga,a harbor North of Kawhia also on the West Coast, Auckland,N.Z
They had a son next and 3 girls all born in Australia.
They were in Aussie because N.Z. did'nt trust mixed blood Kids as this was at the start of unease with Maori and the White man.
