Hello, Keely-
It may be a little late for a follow up, but if you haven't found any info on Marija yet, I hope this helps.I'ma researcher from Belgrade and to tell the truth I don't know where Gomirja is but if you could give me at least a general location I could find it (as the maps that I have are so detailed and show even the smallest villages in serbia, so looking for one across the entire Serbian region would be like looking for the proverbial needle in a haystack!)Second - getting documents from that period (the Kingdom of YU) can be both easy and hard... in other words, IF the documents are in existance, they are quite easy to come by at any of the historical archives (always glad to coop). You should be looking for documents at a hist. archive in the city nearest to said village.BUT, those same archives will require someone (anyone) to come in person to obtain either originals or copies of documents some 99% of the time.Meaning you could try writing that specific archive or calling them and explaining your situation and inability to come in person and see what they can do for you. Please, feel free to e-mail me at [email protected] or contact me through the message board at www.serbia-today.com for more help. Also you may consider the spelling MUSLIN of her last name when searching!
Good luck!
