Hello Dubravka,

Although I have heard of several simillar surnames, I have to admit that HERCEGOVACKI (meaning of, from or belonging to Herzegovina) is a surname that I have never run into.It is, of course, possible that this is simply a surname I have missed but I need to ask: are you sure the surname isn't Hercegov or Hercegovac? Both of these surnames can be found in several of the nations that once made up Yugoslavia and in Serbia and Montengro today.Which area is the family from?Do you know of any given names of any of the family members, their religion, etc? I'm going to suppose that they were or still are Eastern Orthodox as the surname suggests it. All this information could present a clue to anyone who is able to help you:)
Good luck -
