Hello, Tatjana-
Thanks for pointing that out.The address to the main Austrian archives might come in handy though we don't usually deal with Austrian heritage and nobility.I was just looking up the surnames that were of interest to Nick. When the regions of Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia, etc. were returned to their respectiove governments during and after the breakup of the A-U Empire, most documents (very well organized, of course) remained where they were and the records that are usually of interest to us remain in the historical archives throughout former and current Yugoslavia. The crest, title and land were actually given to the VUJNOVIC/VOJNOVIC/VUJINOVIC/VOJINOVIC family circa 1750 by the Hungarians. Both crests have been confirmed and I've actually gotten my hands on a book that was published on this family's genealogy which carries the family's history from the 14th century to the 80's of the 20th century. The book is quite detailed and very impressive impressive, considering that gen research is pretty tough to carry out in these parts! Thanks again and good luck with your own research!
