Sorry for the late reply but so far no notification in my e-box from Genforum.

As far as I know, the marriage certificate never has a place of birth. You need to request a state marriage application and church marriage record. I take it the ancestors had children so the children's church baptismal record should have a place of birth.
What is the male ancestor's place of birth? It is possible that the female ancestor was from same general area as him.
