Here is the info on the older Edward W Edwards - Wedmore is near Cheddar - about 25(ish) miles to the Southwest of Bath.

It looks like (if he is your relation) that he remarried as his new family are quite young.As for finding out if he had any sons I presume you would have to look in local parish records of where he was living at the time of the births.Otherwise you could always check earlier census returns - say 1861 and 1871 to see where the family was and who was living in the house.Hope this is of some help - Wouldn't it be great if all these records were accessible over the internet - I wish!!!
