Ebenezer Baillie was the son of John Baillie b 1803, shoemaker of Edinburgh, and missionary to South Africa 1830's, I cant tell you any thing about Ebenezer, as no one has found any thing since 1866, but you may have found the link, fingers crossed, a relation in Australia, I found, has been looking since 1985 and found nothing,
I will let you know if it is him.
By the way are you in Derby, because I am in Mansfield, and are a Baillie descendent.
