Fort Frederick protected the village of Albany, New York. On July 29, 1691, Lt. John Hutchins was ordered to take his troops there to take command of the fort. This was six months after arriving in New York under the command of Colonel Henry Sloughter.
I would like to find out more about him and his Knighthood, if it was rewarded.
