1850 Barbour Co Census
I am searching for the Griffith & Davis families that were in the 1790 Laurens County, South Carolina.
Rachel Griffith was evidently a widow?? with 1 male under 16 and 2 females.
The female child Margaret married John Davis and migrated toBaldwin Co. GA, to Sumter Co, GA and into Barbour Co. Alabama by 1840.John died 1846 in Barbour Co., AL.
It is noted in one of our Barbour Co books at the library, the following;

In 1821, Rachel Griffith/Griffin of Fairfield Dist. S.C., gave slaves to her daughter, Margaret, wife of John Davis.
This deed was recorded in in Sumter Co., GA., 15 June 1825, Baldwin Co. GA Oct. 16, 1833,and in Barbour Co, AL 23 Dec. 1840
A grown son, Western K. Davisb. abt 1824, S.C.His wife, Sarah Unknown was b. 1823, GA. are also enumerated in the 1850 Barbour Co. Census.

There was also an Ester J. and Rebecca E. & a Giles A., but I do not know where they fit in.
This is in the Orphans book 3 in Barbour Co, AL.
This is my deceased husbands line and I need to find his ancestors for my children.
I have been reading that the Griffiths are in the lineage of The King of Wales.I have 5 lines that come out of that line myself.It is not easy to decipher to get those lines from that ancestry.
My lines are; 2 lines of LEWIS, 1 line of LLEWELYN, 2 lines of Wynne.
Any help with these Griffiths & Davis Families will be greatly appreciated.
