Brown's Valley

I am searching for information on an area found either in Blount or Marshall Counties called "Brown's Valley" which had a rather bad reputation for being a hangout for criminals, bank robbers, and general law breakers during the early 1800's.I would appreciate hearing from anyone with names of books, etc. which would describe more about this place.Thank you.
