McDonald/McDonal/McDonnel/McDanal/McDaniel Familys
I have found that there was a John McDaniel 1830 Federal Census Report/John McDonald Sr. 1840 Federal Census Report/John McDanal 1850 Federal Census Report born 1757 or 1758 Virginiadied 16 Nov. 1850 Cedar Grove, today Leeds, Alabama. This is only one man I am talking about here. He came from South Carolina where he fought in The American Revolutionary War. There is a monument in Linn Park behind The Jefferson County Court House with 16 names of men who fought in The American Revolutionary War who are buried in Jefferson County, Alabama and John McDonald name is on the monument. This is the same man I am talking about here.
John McDonald came off Bryan McDonald/McDonnell/MacDonald born 1645 Ireland died 1707 Mills Creek, New Castle County, Pa. today Delaware.
There was a DNA test done on a man who I can track back to this John McDonald I am talking about above. This mans Y-DNA matches a McDonald from Virginia 109 markers of 111 markers. At the most distance these two men are 7th cousins. The man in Virginia has a 43 generation family tree. The Y-DNA is handed down from father to son so there is no mistake of the great grand parents of the John McDonald 1757 or 58died 1850 Jefferson County, AL. above.
John's wife was named Rachel according to the records from Mt Hebron Baptist Church hwy 119 in Leeds, AL.. In the church records John's last name changes from McDonald to McDonald Sr. and to McDanal.
John filled a Pension Application 19 March 1847 at The Jefferson County Court House. In this application his last name is Daniel/McDaniel and so on.His children names are on the application also, might not be all his children just the ones present.Son's were Nathan, William & Jeremiah, and 3 or 4 daughters present.
There are many McDaniel/McDanal/McDonal/ etc buried in the cemetery at Mt Hebron Baptist Church, all came from the John McDaniel 1830/McDonald Sr. 1840/McDanal 1850.
I wish I knew who John's father was????
And yes, according to my Y-DNA test results I came off the John above. My Y-DNA matches the man I can track back to John 110 of 111 markers and at the most distance we are 5th cousins.
