My name is James MARSHALL Parkhill. I take my name from my father, grandfather,& great grandfather. James M. Parkhill Sr, was listed on David's Parkhill intestate will along with his sister, Martha Jane and brother John.I am finally finding my Alabama roots.But I need help in just knowing the area where my great grandfather was raised. I would like to know what counties were formed from the other and the dates, so I can know the time when David Parkhill came from Tennessee into Alabama. Evidently, the county lines changed from what I gather. David Parkhill died in 1844 in Marshall County, leaving a posterity behind for his descendents.
