Hi John, here is some info I came across. I looked at the info you had on Cordia Hay living with Fred Brennecke and Marcella in 1900 in Clay Co. AR. listed as a niece. the actual census was not that easy to make out Cordie Hays name. When I did a search for Hay in Clay Co. AR.I came up with some more Hay in that county. The person you had as Cordie, living with Fred and Marcello is indexed with the spelling of Ardie looks like Andia to me. But also in Clay Co. AR living with Alfred/Alford West and wife Lillie R. West is a niece indexed as Cordie Hay age 11 she is born in Arkansas father born in Arkansas mother born in Indiana.I think Lillie R. age 28 born in Indiana is a sister to Cordie's mother. Also living with Alred and Lillie west is a niece Lillie R. Hay age 12 born in Ar.Marcella and Lillie R. both list parents as being born in Indiana. Thinking maybe after the death of Anna Russell Hay her sisters Lilllie and Marcella took the children to raise. So maybe the Cordie born Jan. 1889 and the Ardie/Andia born Jan. 1889 are twins or same person listed as living with two different familys. I also found Fred Brenneck and Marcella listed on other census , Fred is listed as Carl F. Brennecke. Hope this is of some help and not more confusing to you. Sharon
