Seeking any BOOREY - Ohio to California
There is a direct connection between the surname spelling of BOOREY in California and BOORY in Ohio.
My ancestors NICHOLAS BOORY and wife Mary emigrated from Switzerland to Stark County, Paris Township, Minerva Area, Ohio. Nicholas and Mary children were: Frederick, Ferdinand Jacob, Sr. and Edward.
FERDINAND JACOB BOORY SR. and wife CYNTHIA DAUTHITT/DOUTHITT had a son FERDINAND JACOB BOORY JR.
I have found Ferdinand Jacob, Jr. as BOOREY in California. He would have probably migrated to CA abt. 1907.I have obtained an abstract copy of his death certificate and it lists his residency as of his death date of February 10, 1940 living at 150 S. Wilson Ave. Pasadena, Los Angeles County, CA.His date of birth: April 30, 1863, place of birth: Stark County, Minerva, Ohio and parents information matches up with my Ferdinand, Sr. and Cynthia (Dauthitt/Douthitt) Boory from Stark County, Minerva, Ohio. The spelling of Ferdinand Jr., mother maiden name on the death certificate is listed as DOUGHDETT. (I believe the spelling is incorrect).Ferdinand, Jr. wife was listed as MABEL P. BOOREY.The informant on the certificate was CLIFFORD B. BOOREY.
I have found the following BOOREY's in CA.
C. CRAIG BOOREY: b. January 10, 1924; d. March 24, 1993 - Danville, Contra Costa County, CA.
CLIFFORD BOOREY: b. September 23, 1899; d. August 1994 - Pleasanton, Alameda County, CA.I would assume that this is the Clifford who was the informant on Ferdinand Jr. death certificate.
FREDRICA BOOREY: b. April 22, 1908; d. March 20, 1990 - Sacramento, Sacramento County, CA.
RUSS BOOREY: b. January 25, 1902; d. December 1972 - Corona, DelMar Orange, CA.
I am looking for the connections, and or any information. If you are connected in any way or may have any information, I would appreciate hearing from you.THANKS.
