Eugene Paul Arambel
Eugene Paul Arambel, 77, of Camino, died Feb. 13, He was born July 7,1923, in Canoga Park.
Mr. Arambel spent his early years farming in Stanislaus County, graduating from Patterson High School. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II and received the Purple "Heart when he was wounded in France. He was a self-employed farmer in Williams, Colusa County for 37 years, pioneering in .seed crops for Northrup King and UC Davis Extension Services. He retired in 1980, moving to El Dorado County, where he was active in land development. He belonged to the Kiwanis Club of Placerville,El Dorado Masonic Lodge No. 26, Tuscan-Maxwell Lodge in Williams, Ben Ali Shrine, Jesters No. 119, El Dorado Shrine Club, Scottish Rite, National Guard support and reserve and served on the board of directors of Marshall Hospital Foundation. -
Mr. Arambel is survived by his wife, Marie, his son, Vernon Arambel, his stepsons, James and Stanley Woodward, his brothers, Robert and Harold Arambel, his sister Carol Halseth and one grandson.
Services will be held at Placerville Masonic Temple, 2820 Cold Springs Road, Placerville, on Friday, Feb. 16 at 11 a.m.
Remembrances may be made to Snowline Hospice, 7563 Green Valley Road, Placerville, or Shriner's Hospital for Children, 2425 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento. '
