Donna R Hoffmann
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 PM today in the Ceres Cemetery for Donna Rae Hoffmann, 41 who died Wednesday in her home after a long illness.
Mrs. Hoffmann, a native of Washington, had lived in Modesto since 1969 and was a physical therapist for Gould Medical Group.
She is survived by her husband, Derrill Hoffmann of Modesto; three sons, Richard, Jeffrey and Anthony, all of Modesto; two daughters, Connie Hoffman[n] of Ohio and Diana Hoffmann of Modesto. Two brothers and a sister.

Note 1, obituaries usually go to the lowest reporter on the totem pole, and their spelling isn't perfect. Daughter Connie has one N in her "Hoffmann"; I'm assuming it's a typo, but she may have shortened it when she moved to Ohio. You'll notice "Derrill" is an odd spelling of that name as well. Derrill is in Modesto in Ancestry.com's "Public Records" data base with that spelling, so it is at least consistent.
Note 2, the siblings are not named.

Some things I try to copy at the bottom of every obit I post:
1) I'm not related and didn't know the person. I do it to "pay it forward", which means I'm repying people who did genealogical favors for me by doing genealogical favors fo rothers. You can do it too, if you are inclined; go to the GenForum board for your county and see if there are any outstanding obit requests.
2) I’ll send you the paper copy of the microfilm if you send me your address via my profile. This is a limited time offer, since I've been doing this for a while and the ones no one wants clutter up my genealogy cubbyhole. If I don't hear from you in 30 days or so, out it goes.
