Re: Colorado newspapers

I know that this is an old question, and that it has been partially answered by referencing the microfilm collection in the Colorado Historical Society.The Hart Library at CHS requires that you visit the library in person to view the microfilms.There is something new that has a limited number of these newspapers from the entire state of Colorado, in both English and German.The search mechanism on the English papers is quite good, but limited for the German papers. The site that you need to visit is http://gunnison.aclin.org/http://gunnison.aclin.org/ and click on the box that contains the digitized archives at the top of the page. I recommend that you use a high speed connection as these are quite extensive archives, and I find that XP with MIE 6 (with last update) or Netscape 7.2 works best.
