I can't seem to find Seymour Benedict (who was b. 1792 CT) in the 1860 OR 1870 US census for Walton, Delaware County, NY. -------------------------- The Benedict Genealogy book, that I referenced before, does not name Seymour's wife or wives.
I did see somewhere else that Mary/Polly Seely the daughter of Silvanus Seely and Mary Hoyt, married Seymour Benedict of Walton, NY and that she died in 1838. If that is true then perhaps he removed to Pennsylvania after her death and then eventually married Ruby Mumford.
Of course, none of this is possible if there really was another Seymour Benedict who was still alive in NY after 1850.
