Randy - The Soldier's Home used to be called The US Soldier's Home, and is now called the US Soldiers and Airmens Home.As far as I know you had to be a veteran to be an "inmate" there.Don't know why they were referred to as "inmates".The phone number of the cemetery used to be (202) 829-1829, and the historian at the Home could be reached at 1-800-422-9988.They gave me a little information, not much, when I inquired several years ago.At least they can confirm if he lived and was buried there.My greatgrandfather is also buried at the Home's cemetery - next time I go up there I'll look for your relative's grave stone.The cemetery is not on the grounds of the Soldier's Home, but is nearby.I have an old reference to the mailing address of the Home:
