Re: New Castle County Workhouse

I used an inmate on the document in the reply to your post and found a listing of the prison in the 1910 and 1920 Census and followed it from there. I am not related and hope this doesn't confuse things even more but If you are at a brick wall, maybe another path to check out. This may or may not be the person you are looking for.

The 1920 Census lists Santo Curcuruto as an inmate at the Delaware State Hospital (Farnhurst) who was unable to give information. Most data was NS (not stated) and the transcriber took that to mean Nova Scotia. Age on the actual document was listed as none. Following is how the record was transcribed.

The 1918 Draft Record I saw does not agree with the one you posted but may be worth looking into. It states birthplace as Italy and age as 41. Brown eyes and gray hair and at patient at Delaware State Hospital.
