I am interested in your connection between the Callaway and Windsor families. You say that Kendall Callaway was the witness to the marriage of Beatrice Marie Jones and James Major Allen Windsor.Do you know anymore about this Kendall Callaway?
I have been following the line of Rebecca Callaway who married Bartine Lewis Oct 15, 1855.She seems to be the daughter of Kendall Callaway and Elizabeth Windsor of Sussex County, Delaware. This Kendal Callaway was born about 1799 and his wife about 1808.Elizabeth later lives with Rebecca and her husband, Bartine Lewis, in the 1860 census so this Kendall Callaway died before then, I estimate about 1853.This is, of course, too early to be the Kendall Callaway who witnessed your Beatrice's wedding.
I believe that Kendall and Elizabeth Callaway had at least three children, James B. Callaway b. about 1828, Rebecca H. Callaway b. about 1828 (and possibly twins) and Elisha Callaway b. about 1831.I have written for the probate record of Kendall Callaway and Elizabeth appoints her son James B. Callaway to take her place as administrator of the estate along with Kendal M. Lewis.Could Kendall and Elizabeth Callaway have had another son by the name of Kendall?
I did a little more research on Kendal M. Lewis to see if he could possibly be a relative.Although I did not find an answer, I did find out a bit about Kendal M. Lewis. It appears his name is Kendal Major Lewis and he marriedLauranah Matthews about 1825.I find it interesting that your Beatrice married James Major Allen Windsor. There's the name Major again connected with the Windsors and Callaways.
Hope some of this helps and perhaps you can shed some light on my Windsor / Callaway connection.
