Re: Otha Kermit Whitfield, Esq. (1920s-30s)
Please notice that I mentioned only " THE 1920s," and never said Otha K. Whitfield was practicing law "in 1920."So, indeed he may not be in any Florida Census for 1920.
Otha Kermit Whitfield might have been a student in 1920, possibly in another state. It does appear that by 1926 this gent had a license for law in Florida, so a better question might be whether there was an O.K. Whitfield in the 1930 Census somewhere in Florida.
I do not not know why you checked the Tampa area specifically, since I stated no city nor county, nor did I speculate whether Otha Kermit Whitfield necessarily died in Florida. But I will "tighten" the question:Is anyone searching for an Otha Kermit Whitfield who was practicing law in Florida between 1926 and 1938 (maybe sooner, maybe later) and is it only a coincidence that a farmer also had the first name of Otha with the surname of Whitfiled?
