Harris, Holtz, Myers settled in Iowa
It has been awhile since I have posted anything in this forum, so thought I would send another quick posting again.
My Harris family settled in Marshall and Ohio County, WVA/VA. John (we think middle name was Franklin) Harris born 1765 in Maryland married Nancy Agnes Binnegar. From this union several children were born: Charles, John, William, Samuel, Benjamin, George (my great, great grandfather), Lucinda, David, Lavina, Aaron, Uriah, and Flora R. Harris.
Some of the above children to John and Nancy "Agnes" Binnegar Harris moved on to the following states: Illinois, Missouri, and IOWA (most in Des Moines). A lot of them remained in VA/WVA.
My grandfather, Boyd Milton Harris (born 1879) was the son of John H. Harris (born 1855 in ILL.) and Clara Isabelle Courtright (different spellings).Boyd was born in Schuyler County, MO along with a sister named Mollie "Mallie" Esther Harris.Mallie married a Gosser in MO and settled there.Boyd moved on to Iowa.
Boyd Milton Harris married Lena Holtz in Des Moines, Iowa. From this union the following children were born: Edgar Lee, Robert Glen (my father born 1909), Helen Harris Brown, and Maxine Harris Pruitt.
