Wellllll, 1st of all, I will check with my sister [not in this state] and see what she has on the Corbin names.
My Joy is an 1860's name link and the McCullough is a 1950's link.
Nancy Jane HALLMARK md James JOY in Douglas co., KS and she died and buried in 1883/85.We do not have proof that this is our Nancy, but all the rest of our HALLMARK line lived/married/died here.
William Burton CORBIN md. Martha L. ROUSE and my grandmother, their daughter, married John Henry HALLMARK in 1899 Dg.co., KS.
John [grandpa's]parents were William and Nancy; they came to Kansas in the 1860's.They had a daughter whose granddaughter married the McCullough around 1950's.
Confused yet?? :-)
The only connection I have to Illinois at this time is Martha's parents lived in Brown county in tthe 1850's. Martha and Burt were md. in KS in 1860's.
Does all this help or are we leading each other astray?
Frances
