Jocelyn, thank you for your kind offer. The story is this. Carolina Mathilda Andersson born Sept 6, 1865 in Nykil parish,Sweden. Went to the US Okt 1,1886 that is what I know for sure. I found at the Illinois Statewide Marriage Index one couple that made me interested but it is a looongshot. Anderson Frank and Anderson Carolina Matilda, Rock Island County, date Okt 26 1886, vol 00E/0015, Lic 0013696. The reason I am looking in Rock Island is that my father remember that his grandmother sent letters there, but that was in the 1930:th. It is also a smal chance that Frank should be Frans. There were one Frans Anderson who left from the same place as Carolina but he left in May and that could be an explanation to why they married right away. My father says he heard that there were a "oncle Frans". Carolina had a sister, Fredrika Charlotta Anderson, she came to the States in 1891 and I have found her in the reccords from a Swedish-American church in Aledo, Mercer co. She was a member there until 1895. My father is 80 years old and he does not remember mutch and those who knew are gone and so are the letters. But in 1953 there were a young man visiting and his name was Dean Ekstam, and another "later" name are Nordquist and they lived i Carlifornia. I found two Dean Ekstam in the US phonebook and I have written to both just a week ago. I did not mean to writhe this mutch but I got carried away. Thank you from Ulla.
