Arvo Maki, Immigrated to U.S. from Finland
My grandfather's name is Clyde Arthur Maki, Sr. and I believe he is seventy-two years old. My family is all from Chicago, Illinois. I visited my grandfather in the Veteran's Hospital in North Chicago, IL in early July. I asked him some questions about our family, but he did not give a lot of information...
His father's (my great-grandfather) name was Arvo Maki. I do not know his middle name, or my great-grandmother's name. Arvo immigrated to the United States, and married an American-born Finn. He had at least three sons and one daughter. Clyde Arthur Maki, his identical twin brother that died at birth, and Raymond Maki. I can't remember the girl's name though.
According to my grandfather, my grand mother was also Finnish. She was the daughter of two American-born Finns. Her name was Minnie Rose Ruby. I know of one sister that she had Sadie Elizabeth Ruby. My grandmother passed away in 1998 from cancer, so I cannot ask her any questions about our family.
If anyone has any information, it would be great. Please let me know!
