SETH MASON HAD LIVED IN CHRISTIAN COUNTY
Seth Mason, one of the pioneer settlers of Christian county, died at 11:30 o'clock this morning at the residence of his son, Dwight Mason, two miles west of Sharpsburg, of pneumonia, after a short illness.
The decedent was a native of Kentucky and with his father, came to Christian county about 60 years ago, settling near Sharpsburg, and continuing his residence there until his death.
The decedent was 82 years old at his death. His wife was Syrne Hanon and she died about 25 years ago. Three children survive. Mrs. Fred Roberts of Sharpsburg, Mrs. Ida Seaton of Edinburg and Dwight Mason , with whom the decedent made his home since the death of his wife.
Besides the children a sister, Mrs. T.J. Minnis of Taylorville; a brother, John Mason of Roby; two half-brothers, Thomas of South Fork Twp., and Elza of Palmer, and one half-sister, Mrs. Amanda Wray of Dodge City, Kan., survive.
The funeral arrangements have not yet been made, but the services will be held Thursday or Friday.
