Hollis Butterfield Zelma Wicker

In 1940 Census Hollis is in Chester, Illinois prision. He murdered wife Zelma Wicker in 1933; found article demanding death penalty however he is marrying again in 1955 in Cook Co. So it appears he only served 20 years. Does anyone know the verdict of the trial?
