Help with 1940s Orphanage records

By Marsha March 27, 2014 at 12:30:28

Hoping someone will be able to help me with this one.

My original email was sent back as undelivered:

Hoping you will be able to direct me to where the old records for the St. Vincent's Orphanage are kept.

I know that my father was in a Catholic Orphanage around 1941 to 1943.He was placed there by his mother and by mid 1843 they came to bring him back home.He was very young and does not remember much.We are hoping to be able to piece some of the details together for him.

Mother's name: Mildred (Jack) md Sheuk, md Halow, md Hurst. We are not sure what surname she was using at the time.

Son: Ronald Sheuk (spelled many different ways) bn 1936......As he remember it he was around 5yrs old when placed there......Sometime after his mother married Ron Hurst (Mar 1943); Mildred & Ron Hurst came and took him out.

There may have been other children Mildred placed at the orphanage.

Thank you for any help you may offer,
Marsha(MP)
