Re: Scovel Burial Grounds,Lewistown twp.
I was searching for Civil War soldiers when I came to a Jonathan Davis buried in Scovel's Cemetery, Fulton County, Illinois. Following your clues about the Scovel and May family, I found a Barkley Cemetery in Lewistown Township, NW quarter of sec. 30 and Jonathan Davis is buried there. According to the Cemetery Inscription book from the Fulton County Historical and Genealogical Society, it has the following:
