I am seeking any information about William (Uncle Bill) and Lucy Peacock Proctor (Aunt Lucy) who lived their married life in McCleansboro town or area. They were active in an eatery and hotel, not necessarily owned by them they could have been employees. And any other endevors they had while living. Their church Their land holdings They had no children Lucy was born in the south Where are they buried? I have been to the area and could not nail down where they are buried.I have some legal papers regarding Williams estate after he died.Did Lucy have a will and testament? I never found one at the courthouse.
Anything anyone can find in the Leader will be appreciated. I do have their obits....however in following them it did not lead me to their gravsites. And the church which preached Lucy's service said they don't have any record of her!!!Which makes me more anxious as to why?
Lucy was a member of great great grandparents houshold in 1850 in Peoria, IL she was 11 at that time. The couple got married in White County, IL then moved to Hamilton and never left.Seeking more information as to who Lucy really was born to...her death certificate said her father was James Peacock of Mississippi. Was he her father or owner? Or both?Although throughout the census records Lucy is always listed as a white person.
