I am related to Grant Wisemiller by the marriage of Grant W. Wisemiller to Sophie Dupuis. Grant W. Wisemiller was married to Sophie Dupuis on October 24, 1894 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.
Sophie Dupuis was the daughter of Stephen (Etienne) Dupuis and Margaret Moisan of Quebec, Canada. Sophie Dupuis was born in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois about 1871.
Grant W. Wisemiller was born on February 11, 1869 in Essex Township, Kankakee County, Illinois. Grant Wisemiller died on December 26, 1950 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. He is buried at Fairmont Cemetery in Willow Springs, Illinois.
Grant was the son of William Wisemiller, b. abt. 1826, Prussia, and Sarah A. Dickinson, b. abt. 1827, Ohio. They were married on February 18, 1857 in Defiance County, Ohio. Grant had a brother, John Wisemiller, born about 1859, IL, and a sister, Jessie Wisemiller, born about 1865, IL. The 1870 Census lists a Frances Wisemiller b. 1856 which would be an older sister.
In the 1870 United States Federal Census, I found:
Name Age in 1870 Estimated Birth Year Birthplace Race Home in 1870 (City, County, State) Gender
William Wisemiller 46 1823 Prussia White Essex, Kankakee, IL Male
Sarah A Wisemiller 44 1825 Ohio White Essex, Kankakee, IL Female

In the 1910 and 1920 Census records, his brother, John Wisemiller, is living with Grant and his family at 1802 W. 14th Street, Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. John is listed as single.
The children of Grant Wisemiller and Sophia Dupuis were:
Pearl Wisemiller, b. about 1895, daughter (Pearl was listed as 14 in the 1910 Census)
Grace Wisemiller b. about 1905, daughter (Grace was 5 in the 1910 Census & 14 in the 1920 Census)
