St. John's, Sunfield, Diamond town, Paradise Prairie info needed
I would like any information on the following:
St. John's the families that lived there and business dating back to beginning, the salt mine, coal mines, churches, schools, Blacksmith shops and such.
Sunfield dating back to beginning, the families that lived there, businesses, coal mines, churches, schools, Blacksmith shops and such.
Diamond town dating back to beginning, the families that lived there, churches, businesses and such.
All the Cherry Lake area's, the past and present one, stories and such.
Anything on the Paradise Prairie area dating back to beginning, the families that lived there, businesses, coal mines, churches, schools, Blacksmith shops and such.
I would like any stories from the area's also.
If anyone has old photo's that can be copied please contact me directly. [email protected]
If I can gather enough photo's and stories with copy permission, I am hoping to compile a book.
After paying the printing costs of books, I will make a monetary donation for a stone monument for the area's fallen soldiers that is to be placed at St. John's village hall.
I have gathered as much information as possible in the books in Perry County Clerk's office and the DuQuoin Public Library which did not contain much for these area's which is a shame.
Thank-you,
Vanessa Fleming
