Have you checked the Illinois State Archives that are searchable on the internet?There are 5 Tolan marriages listed, one or two of them in Schuyler County back in the 1800's.You might use those names as leads to find other references.(There are a number of Tolans listed in the death index, although not in Schuyler County).Google has also indexed the Encyclopedia of Illinois History.If you use the "advanced search" feature using the names you know, it's possible that you might turn up references to Tolans.That's something that many people just don't think to do, and it can be extremely productive.
