Thanks Rhonda.I don't have a Walter Waid in my database yet. But I also don't have a complete list of descendents for all of the sons of Solomon & Catherine Waid, either.So it's possible he might be descended from their sons Frederick T. Waid or Trevanian Theodore "Van" Waid; or from one of the children of the other sons, William B. Waid or John T.Waid.(I have complete info for descendants of the other son, Francis Marion Waid).
If you had any idea where William was born, or either of his parent's names, that would be very helpful.(I've not checked ancestry.com, either).I do have a contact with a line of Waids that settled in Indiana--he and I exchange information in anticipation of finding an eventual link. If you find an Indian reference, let me know and I'll put you in touch with him).
I do see Walter's death listed as Dec. 8, 1946 and his wife's dead listed as Nov. 4, 1941, both in Kewanee.
