SERVICES FOR JOHN RIDDLE TO BE SUNDAY
MINIER--Funeral services for John W. Riddle, 74, of Minier, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Minier Christian Church.
Rev. Jack Thompson, pastor of the church will officiate. Burial was in the Minier cemetery.
There will be no visitation. The body will lie in state at the church from noon until times of services on Sunday.
McReynolds Funeral Home, Minier, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Riddle, retired contractor, died at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Bloominton Mennonite hospital, where he had been a patient one week.
Born May 25, 1896, at Minier, he was the son of John and Eldora Maurer Riddle. His marriage to Mabel Aynes took place in 1920 in Nashville, Ind.
Surviving, besides his wife, are one daughter, Mrs. Eldora Brummet of Chapel Hill, N.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Nancy Razor of Bloomington, and Mrs. Mae Morris of Lanard; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
Mr. Riddle had been a contractor in the Minier and Stanford area for many years. He was a member of the Minier Christian church and the Minier American Legion Post. A former deacon of the church, he was a veteran of World War I.

MRS. JOHN RIDDLE FUNERAL WILL BE HELD SATURDAY
MINIER, July 9--Funeral services for Mrs. John W. Riddle, 80, who died at her home in Minier at 2:45 a.m. today, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the McReynolds Funeral home, the Rev. Fletcher DeClark officiating and burial taking place in Minier cemetery.
Her death came after a brief illness following a fall which she suffered recently.
Eldora Maurer was born in Stanford May 10, 1862, a daughter of Jacob and Adelade Maurer, and was married to John W. Riddle, July 5, 1877. He died seven years ago, and three sons, James, Raymond and Delmar, also preceded her in death.
Surviving are the following children; Mrs. Emma Hitt, Mrs. Dan Bowles and John W. Riddle, Jr., Minier; Clarence Riddle, Modesto, Cal.; and Mrs. Willard Rasor, Heyworth.

JOHN RIDDLE, SR., DIES AT MINIER
MINIER, Feb. 28--John Riddle Sr., one of Minier's oldest residents, died at his home Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock. He had been ill for some time, suffering from the debilities of old age. Mr. Riddle was 86 years old. He was born at Staunton, Va., coming to Minier with his parents when he was three years old.
He is survived by his widow, two sons, Clarence, of Modesto, Cal., and John Jr., of Minier; four daughters, Mrs. Emma Hitt, Mrs. Dan Bowles of Minier; Mrs. May Morris, of Galena; and Mrs. Nancy Rasor, of Heyworth, one brother, Leslie Riddle of Minier; and one sister, Mrs. Ona Peek, of Clinton. Two sons, Ray and Delmar, preceded their father in death.
The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, athe home of his daughter, Mrs. Dan Bowles.

MRS. ANNA RIDDLE DIES;RITES WILL BE HELD THURSDAY
Mrs. Anna Riddle, 46, 123 Charlotte street, died at the Pekin hospital at 10:55 a.m. today after an extended illness and the body was taken to the Kuecks Funeral home.
Mrs. Riddle was born May 1, 1899 and was married to Charles Riddle. Besides her husband and mother, Mrs. John
Nodock(hard to read this last name for sure), the following children survive; Mrs. _____ Sowers, ____, Il and
__________ and ___________. A brother, Joe Duffield also survives.
Mrs. Riddle was a member of St. Paul Evangelical and Reformed church and the pastor Dr. Argo A. Zimmerman will officiate at rites to be held at the funeral home Thursday at 1 p.m.. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home.
