His WW I draft registration confirms his date and place of birth, and gives his father's place of birth as Scranton, PA.
In the 1900-1910 censuses for Vermilion County, IL he is living with his parents. In 1920 he has wife Edith and daughter June, born about 1914. By 1930 he has added children Jane, born about 1922 and Philip, born about 1925. The 1940 census shows Jane as Mabel Jane, and June is no longer living with them. His occupation is consistently given as "painter".
His memorial on findagrave gives his middle name as "Dudley".
