another question. Do yu think your family could have gone to the coal mines in that area too? It was the Gillispie coal mines there at joliet. They had a union. grandpa had a license of a sort.
Have you checked the cemeteries of the area?.
It seemed that a lot of those german families of Niedersachen went there those maybe near Hamburg and Luneburg. However I see some from below Frankfort.
