Re: Coombes in Spencer Co.

Sorry I don't have information on your Coombs. I recently found out my gggranmother was a Coombs from Spencer Co., IN.
Her name was Wilmonth (Wilmoth)Coombs (Combs). I have seen both spellings, unsure which in correct. Her father was supposedly Berryman Coombs. Do those names ring any bells for you? Wilmoth married Elisha Jackson in 1848/1849. My Jacksons again married into the Combs family three times in 1946. I wonder if they came full circle back into the same family.
