George W. Butcher b. 1827 IN, Father William C.? b. KY

I am looking for the parents of George W. Butcher, b.1827 in IN. He was married to Matilda McGaughey and died in Terre Haute, Decatur, IA. Their son James is my husbands' gg-grandfather.
I found a George W. Butcher in an 1850 census at Russell Township, Putnam Co., Indiana. The people in the household were:
William C. Butcher 51, b. KY
Martha 26 b. KY
Margaret 25 b. KY
Mary 23 b. KY
George W. 22 b. Ind.
Jane 18 b. Ind.
William 16 b. Ind.
James 14 b. Ind.
Francis M. 12 b. Ind.
Nathaniel M. 10 b. Ind.
Ambrose D. 9 b. Ind.
Everything fits for this to be Georges' family. Does anyone have proof or come to the same conclusion?? Williams' wife is also not in the family group here, must have passed away prior to this census! Thanks for help and or corrections!!
