Looking for male descendants of PHILBERT WRIGHT, [b. 1800 in NC and died in Greene County, Indiana 1865; married Nancy Fry abt 1825], willing take at least a 37-marker DNA test to determine which WRIGHT family this PHILBERT WRIGHT 1800 would be related to.
This Philbert is buried in the Fry Cemetery in Greene County, IN.
His male heirs consist of: Joseph A Wright 1826 – 1905 Philbert A. Wright 1830 – 1853 [never married; died young] Francis Marion Wright 1836 – 1916 Elijah C Wright 1840 – 1882
He MAY be a son of Rev. Richard Wright and Elizabeth Hughes of NC. Rev. R. Wright [1783-1843] was the son of Benjamin Wright, Sr. - known son of Richard, Wright, Sr., b. 1726 in Maryland - son of Philbert Wright & Esther Becraft. DNA will be able to determine conclusively what is currently only suspected - a kinship to my family.
Most of the cemetery holds the remains of this family related in some way. My only basis for belief that Philbert 1800 may be a son of Rev. Wright is that both are both buried in the Fry Family Cemetery in Greene County, IN - as are other known children of Rev. Wright and subject Philbert. However, only a portion of Rev. Wright's known children have been identified with certainty.
OR, if anyone has authentic documented relationship showing who PHILBERT WRIGHT 1800's parents are, would truly appreciate the information.
