ROANOKE FARMER NOT YET LOCATED

Police have been unable to locate Victor Powell, Roanoke farmer, who drove to Fort Wayne last Friday with a load of corn and after selling the grain he disappeared.Relatives foun his team in a feed barn in the city on Saturday but could not learn of Powell's whereabouts.

Detective sergeant Walter Immel found a pair of overalls and a blue shirt, supposed to have belonged to Powell, at the Wabash depot on Sunday. The man who had left the bundle had said he was going to St. Louis, Immel was told. The man was well dressed and answered in a general way the description of Powell.

Police think then Powell may have sold his grain and with the money purchased a new suit of clothes. Then he may have started to St. Louis, they think. No word from St. Louis has been received.Powell has a wife and three children back on the farm.
