Birth Parents Of Presley (Presly) Clark(e) - b. 1802 d. 1876 - 1880
I am looking for the birth parents of Presley (Presly) Clark(e). He was born in 1802. The 1850 Census shows he was born in Kentucky, the 1860 Census shows he was born in Ohio, and the 1870 Census shows he was born in Indiana. He died between April 1876 - 1880 in Jackson County, Indiana. He married Caroline Hendelider on May 28, 1823, in Floyd County, Indiana. He then married Eliza Second, (I don't think that this is her last name), I think they are referring to her as his second wife. He married Eliza about 1833 in Jackson County, Indiana. He married Evaline (Emeline) Coen on October 21, 1858, in Jackson County, Indiana, and then he married Marcia "America" Findley between 1861 and 1869 in Jackson County, Indiana. He and Eliza had eight kids.
1. Margaret Clark - b. 1834 in Jackson County, Indiana, and d. between 1872 and 1924 in Jackson County, Indiana.
2. Cassandra Clark - b. January 1836 in Jackson County, Indiana, and died between 1879 and 1926 in Jackson County, Indiana.
3. Samuel T. (Tilden) Clark - b. July 10, 1838 in Indiana, and d. June 22, 1881, in Jackson County, Indiana.
4. Presley Clark - b. 1842 in Jackson County, Indiana, and d. July 21, 1872, in Jackson County, Indiana.
5. Eliza Clark - b. August 1845 in Jackson County, Indiana, and d. sometime before 1835 in Jackson County, Indiana.
6. James Clark - b. October 1847 in Jackson County, Indiana, and d. in Brownstown, Jackson County, Indiana.
7. George Clark - b. 1851 in Jackson County, Indiana, and d. March 22, 1876, in Jackson County, Indiana.
8. Thomas "Tommy" Clark - b. 1854 in Jackson County, Indiana, and d. before 1944, not sure where he died. More than likely Jackson County, Indiana.
Presley Clark and Evaline/Emeline Coen had one child, a daughter, Charlotte Clark - b. November, 1859, in Jackson County, Indiana, and died between 1877 and 1949, in Jackson County, Indiana.
My Mom has told me that our Clark line came from England, then went to Virginia, Kentucky, and then eventually Jackson County, Indiana.
Thanks for the help!!!
