I'm afraid I can't help you with the John Hopkins line, as I'm strictly Harris/Jewell.However, I just ran across an Israel Hopkins Harris from Centerville, Montgomery Co. OH that looks interesting.My understanding is that Aaron Jewell, Robert's father, moved his family to Butler OH from Centerville.Perhaps there's a connection.You can just Goggle "Israel Hopkins Harris."

FYI:I have the children of Robert Spencer Jewell and Lucetta Desire Harris as:Casper B. William Edward, Isabell America, and Wilbur S.This is from census records.

I will let you know if I come across John Hopkins in my research.

Almost forgot, I do have info on Thomas Harris and Phoebe Harrison, b.10/5/1744Essex Co. NJ, as possible parent's of Hopkins, but there are no records to back it up.
