Andrew J Cole, b. 1850
Good Evening,
My name is Victoria Woodcock and I am a historical researcher with the Labor Education Service at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. My colleagues and I are currently researching the construction of the Minnesota State Capitol building, 1896-1905 and I have been give the task of finding out the details of the lives of the men who accidently died on this project.
One of the men may have been the son of a native of Switzerland, Indiana, Andrew J. Cole. Andrew was married to Sadie Stewart in 1870 and at some point moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota.
In May 1899 a young man named William Cole was accidently killed on the construction. A newspaper article in the St. Paul Globe mentioned that William's father was an engineer AJ Cole, whom I've traced to your locale.
I cannot find any other information about William Cole. If any one has any information re Andrew J Cole or William Cole I would very much appreciate hearing from you.
Thank you,
Victoria H. Woodcock, MS, MLIS
