MacKessy, Edward and Mary, early 1900s

Is anyone researching the Edward MacKessy line in Lafayette? An online index shows two Edwards listed, one d Dec 9, 1930, the other (Edward J) d Jan 25, 1919. Same problem w Edward's wife: one Mary listed d Mar 14, 1912, the other Mar 20, 1927. I am hoping one set is parents of the other Edward, but if anyone knows more (or can access the obits), pls let me know!
