The killings at Nogales (sometimes spelled Logallis) Prairie were described in Hardin's own book, as you mentioned.I cannot confirm if his book is accurate or not, but it's the best source I have on the subject. The story has been confirmed by people who live at Nogales Prairie, who say their ancestors passed down
the story in their families. One man who lives there said he, as a child, found human bones in a creek bed, and told his grandfather, who confirmed the Hardin story.
