What I would suggest if you haven't done so yet would be to write to the Christian Co.clerk, 511 S. Main st., Hopkinsville, KY 42240. Be sure to include a SASE so they can respond easily.
Did Young serve in the Civil War? If so, and he was on the Union side and he or his wife applied for a pension you could write for copies of that. I have sent for several pension files and have always found a wealth of information, including marriage licenses. The downside is that they cost a lot--$34 and they take awhile to get back--1 month -6 mos! But in all my cases, totally worth the money and the wait. If you are interested you should go to the NARA website and look for information about copying off the Federal Pension form.
