Your help is more than I could have hoped for, Marilyn!
Since I got your message this morning I found where William Thompson died; Evansville, IN Oct. 25, 1899.
Hattie was married to Henry Shumate after Thomas O'Brien. They're in the 1910 census, Vandenburg Co. Hattie was married SIX times, final husband was a Davis. She died3/22/1944, Vandenburg Co. (Browning) Listed at her funeral were her sisters Julia B.Greer and Laura A.Senta. Laura was listed as living in Colburn FL.I found Julia B. married to Charles F. Greer. 1920 census Vandenburg Co. Julia is listed as a widow with daughters Sophia, Dolly, Estella and Velma, son Charles. One daughter of Hattie's listed as Mrs. Ray Sturm and 7 grandchildren attending. Both of her sons were dead before her death. Eldo died in 1934 and my grandfather Everett O'Brien was hit and killed by a train in Gary, IN 1917. My mom was 3 years old. If you think I've had problems with this side, HA!My grgrandfather has been impossible to track.Thomas O'Brien with his father's name Thomas both born in Ireland? HAHAHA Can't find a flipping thing on his mother Mary Thilson.Only info. I have on these two if my grgrandfather and mother's marriage info. They were married Christmas Eve in 1887. You'd think they'd be in the 1890 census. Can't figure out why Everett was born in St. Louis, MO and Eldo (1888) in Union Co. KY.
I attribute every grey hair in my head to these searches.
