Garnett A. Pelston, 53, died Friday, December 24, at the Glasgow Hospital. Funeral services were conducted at Lowgap December 26, by the Rev. Joe Stotts. Burial was in the Stotts Cemetery.
A son of Joe and Ida Pelston, Lowgap, he is also survived by his wife, Mrs. Minerva [sic] Pelston; a son, V.O. Pelston, Worthville; four daughters, Mrs. Sellie Estes, Columbia, Mrs. Cecil McCool, Louisville, Mrs. Mary Petty, Chance, Miss Artie Marie Pelston, Lowgap; a brother, Ace Pelston, Dirigo; two sisters, Mrs. Walter Janes, Columbia, and Mrs. Allen Wooten, Lowgap.

Mrs. Ida Pelston died May 19. She leaves her husband, Mr. Joe Pelston; two sons, Ace and Garnett Pelston, and two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Janes and Mrs. Birdie Wooten. A number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and one brother, Mr. Finis Stotts, of Jeffersonville, and a number of friends to mourn her passing. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. M.B. Hodges. Burial was in the family cemetery. Sympathy to the entire family.
